Interview with Radek Štěpánek, co-owner and North America Sales Director of Artiplay.

Radek, most people know you as a tennis legend who achieved incredible things on the courts and always played with heart. But today, you are also a key figure at Artiplay. How did your tennis career connect with the world of the gaming industry?

Radek Štěpánek:
Thank you for the kind words! Tennis taught me that without passion, teamwork, and determination, you can't succeed, and I found exactly those values also in Artiplay. I started to become fascinated with the gaming industry a few years ago because it is an environment full of innovation and adrenaline, similar to sports. With colleagues Václav Harašta and Petr Vymetálek, we began building Artiplay at the start of 2024 with the vision of bringing something truly new to the market. And now, after months of hard work, we are ready to introduce our innovative product, Artiplay, to the world. It is another great challenge for me and at the same time a huge joy.

What does playing online games mean to you personally?

Radek Štěpánek:
Honestly? It’s very similar to tennis! Every game is full of emotions, tension, and unexpected twists. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, but it always pushes you forward. Playing online is about fun, about enjoying every moment – just like on the court. But at the same time, it’s important to remember that it should mainly be about entertainment and that you need to play responsibly, with reason, and within your limits.

What are your visions for Artiplay in the coming years?

Radek Štěpánek:
Our priority is to develop and distribute top-quality products to the global market, but we also place great emphasis on safety and fairness. Every player must be assured that they are playing in a safe and transparent environment, which is confirmed by the strict certifications of our software. And what is very important to me personally – we want to give back to society. That’s why we are preparing a project that will support young Czech sports talents from part of our profits. I believe that this is the way to combine business success with a positive impact on our society.
